Hot Tub Shipping Information
Curbside delivery is included in the price to most locations east of the Mississippi River. Delivery to locations west of the Mississippi (or in southern-most states) may require a shipping surcharge depending on model (size). Call for an exact quote, however surcharges depending on the above mentioned factors typically range between $200-800.
Delivery is contingent upon accessibility of often large liftgate trucks. It is the customer's responsibility to notify the local delivery crew prior (when they call to schedule delivery) of any special routing instructions or other issues that might be otherwise incurred with a semi-tractor trailer...low bridges, toll roads, etc. Depending on the carrier, available equipment and model size (i.e., available liftgate on delivery truck), additional able-bodied people may need to assist with unloading spa from truck. Don't hesitate to call for clarification.
Special requirements due to delivery-truck access difficulties may cost more**. On rare occasion, our shipper imposes unually high shipping rates for deliveries to remote areas. We reserve the right to notify you of the additional shipping costs required if above the typical shipping cost calculated into the price of the spa. In this rare event, it is most often the result of the customer being the most rural of areas, well outside any major shipping lane.
BACKYARD DELIVERY: Stellar Spas recommends hiring local spa movers (typically $200-400) to get your spa from the front to its final position on your property. Such spa or furniture movers can be found on Craigslist by searching on "hot tub movers". Of course getting several quotes is suggested to get a reasonable price. You can also DIY if you have sufficent able bodied people and equipment (call for "pro" tips).
** Our Infinity 156 and P30 models are so large they require dedicated flatbed truck shipping. These trucks do not have lift gates, so buyer will need to arrange to have a forklift (with 8' forks) or crane service available at the time of delivery to your home to remove these two big boys off the truck.
We assume no liability for loss or damage caused during shipping. It is the customer’s responsibility to file any claims with the shipper. We will, however, facilitate this process in the unlikely event of a claim. You are encouraged to thoroughly inspect your spa upon delivery, before the driver leaves and notate any damage on the bill of lading before signing. Generally, only spas with a damaged acrylic shell or frame should be refused. Do not hesitate to remove any protective shrink-wrap if needed so as to confirm the shell has not cracked. And don't be frightened by the previous statement. It's only happened once in 20+ years that a spa shell was catastrophically damaged, and that was about 17 years ago.
European Retail Sales, Shipping and Wholesale Distribution
We also specialize in shipping to Europe. We ship single (crated) spas directly to our European customers as well as containers (quantity: 10-12 spas) to dealers throughout the European Union. Contact us for our wholesale pricelist, which is substanially lower than the retail (single spa) prices presented on our website.
Spas are built for Europe’s 50 Hz power supply (The pump and heater will be slightly smaller, due to Europe’s lower supply of amperage) and meet the CE standards of compliance. The manufacturer’s warranty is fully honored.. Do not hesitate to request a shipping quote for a single spa or inquire about wholesale volume exportation.
